Show me the message from the U S government that was passed to Biden to deliver (memo? email?). What particular organization and who withing that organization authorized Biden to deliver that message? |

I do not see an IMF demand for the ouster of Shokin in this article. Rather the demand written about was for Ukraine to do more to combat corruption and reform state owned enterprises more generally. The paragraph about Shokin at the end is not in any way attributed to the IMF; it states, using passive voice in the first sentence: "The president has come under pressure at home and internationally for refusing to replace a long-time loyalist, Viktor Shokin, as chief prosecutor. Mr Shokin has been criticised for failing to bring to justice any of the snipers who killed dozens of protesters in central Kiev in the final days of the revolution, and for dragging his feet over investigating senior officials and businesspeople." The IMF may have made specific demands with respect to Shokin, but that is not described in this article. |
