Surprisingly yes! They were longer last year, obviously, but the cut is so loose (since there's no waistline) that the tanks and short sleeve styles never looked huge. I think next summer the arm holes will be getting snug, but we'll see. |
PP again - like this style. We have a bunch of the power twirl dresses and have gotten our money's worth MANY times over. https://www.hannaandersson.com/shop/50411.html |
NP here. I buy these ‘slips’ on sale ($23-24) each and my daughters wear them as nighties in the summer. They don’t like wearing tight cotton pjs in the summer and only like cotton (not polyester) probably because it’s more breathable? The looser pjs always seem to be polyester for kids...yuck. Anyways that’s why I get them and it works for us! |
DP. It does for me too. |
Obviously very dependent on your child's individual growth patterns and your being OK with a long dress 1 year and a short dress the next. |
Still overpriced. |
My son has been wearing the same shirt for 2 years, and PJs for nearly 3! Their sizing is magic |
New poster here, just came by to say that I am completely turned off by HA's new return policy. I placed a large order online at the end of August (I don't live near a store), with one of the items being a pair of baby pants. They were on sale for about $12. My son wore them for the first time this afternoon (I hadn't even washed them) and the seam down the back is coming undone. He literally wore them for a few hours and he's not walking yet, so it's not like he could have been that rough on them.
I called HA and they said the new return policy only is good for workmanship defects. I said that this is surely a workmanship defect. They said I can mail the pants back and they'll decide. They did say that they'd cover the shipping (they're snail mailing me a return label)... but it's barely worth my time to package them up and go to the post office. By the time I get the replacement pants, they may not even fit him anymore. It's not like I'm trying to cheat them out of a $12 pair of baby pants, especially since there were many other more expensive items in my order. What gets me is the customer service rep didn't even offer a perfunctory apology for the poor quality and my dissatisfaction. Really awful customer service. I'm done with them. |
Its not their fault you bought the wrong size. |
I’ve had this happen by accident before (something fitting for multiple years) and by partway through the second year I’m so sick of seeing my kid wear it! I’d rather buy the proper size for this season and then again next season. In order for what you are proposing to work, the clothes never really fit properly. But hey who cares! You got a deal! ![]() |
I’m confused- is the clothing terrible quality or good quality? Slips falling apart and pants ripping at the seam? Why are you people paying so much for poor quality clothing? Because they had a good return policy? It sounds to me like you have used it and are trying to return it. |
HA used to be excellent quality. My child was able to wear one size for several months and the clothing managed to accommodate multiple growth spurts and withstand daily wear without fading, pilling, ripping, or any other quality issues. HA used to bill itself as selling clothes that were "hand me down" quality, but as multiple PPs have said (and as I've also noticed), the quality has gone downhill in the past year or so. I've noticed that some of the cottons used for tops is more prone to pilling and wash wear, that the licensed character pajamas didn't hold up to regular use (the screenprinting started cracking after 2 wash cycles), and that pants have developed holes near pockets and on the knees after a handful of wears. I've found that the quality of secondhand HA from a few seasons is much better than their new items. I was able to get my money back for several items, so the change in the return policy is disappointing. For everyone who claims that people like me have "abused" the return policy, many of us returned items because HA's former return policy included a guarantee that encouraged returns if the quality was lacking because the items were supposed to be "hand me down" quality. |
crap, i just sent my nephew and niece cute character PJs from the sale this weekend. i hope they hold up. we always had good luck with the quality of HA pjs. |
I have twin girls, so no hand me downs going on in our family (cousins are all boys), but my girls wear their HA (and Boden) dresses for two years in a row. The first year they generally fall exactly where you'd want and the next year they're shorter but work with leggings (still cover their butt). They're tall but not big so the torso of the dresses still fits perfectly. |
In 2017 HA got acquired by private equity and later hired the Sears CEO. So I’d say they are not long for this world.
