What demographic trends? Do liberals actually have kids? If anything as soon as we halt the illegals, you are doomed demographically

So true.

The only way it’s in play is if there’s vote tampering involved.

Most of the country hates this guy. His cult base is his cult base but it’s not growing, they're dying off. If he “wins” WI, PA and MI plus Virginia? It’ll be more proof he never won in the first place.

It’s astounding that you actually believe Trump voters are “dying off”. I get that it’s wishful thinking on your part, but I’m sorry to report that we’re nowhere near dying off.

In which state has Trump gained supporters since 2016?

Considering Trump voters often don’t bother with polls, no one actually knows - including you.

But we do know how people voted in the most recent elections in VA. Doesn’t look good for Trump. Presumably those secret Trumpers forgot to vote in 2018?

We don’t need a civil war. Our children are already being shot to death because people like you can’t find a new hobby or realize the government ain’t coming after you.

And also in 2017?

Tax break didn't provide enough money to go to one?

Original PP here. I didn't actually get much of a tax break. I have high SALT amounts, which off-set the reduction in marginal rate. Part of me really wants to experience the ability to cheer loudly for Trump without fear of physical harm.

You and I both know nobody is going to physically harm you for supporting Trump. We just openly think you’re a a horrible human being and won’t include you in the neighborhood BBQ anymore, which I know you find more concerning.

You want the experience of saluting your fuhrur without fear of being ridiculed by thinking people.

*THANK YOU*, for so perfectly illustrating why I don't feel safe being vocal about my support for Trump. It's because there are people like you, who fancy yourselves to be in the membership of "thinking people", who also believes that physical harm is the same as ridicule.

It’s astounding to me that you don’t know who votes for Dasvidanya Don. You guys are old. Trust a trumpeter to think I’m speaking to and about only you, though.

Who knew 47 was old.

Tic toc. Average lifespan is actually down. All those hamberders. And oxy.

Why don’t you think it’s blue now? You don’t like math and facts?

I'm a D so no need to get all testy. I hope it is blue but the reality is that there is a lot of red in VA. You would be arrogant to think you have it sewn up. It isn't as purple as NC but it is not bright blue.

1 mile so or west of Tyson’s corner and plenty of Trump supporters. Don’t have anything for granted.

Yep. I realize VA is purple/blue, but there are definitely lots of Trump supporters here. We live in FxCo.

Also live in FFX county and I wouldn't say there are "lots" of Trump supporters, but it's the closeted ones that worry me.

Not advertising our political affiliation doesn’t make us “closeted,” it makes us private. Trump voters - and Republicans in general - don’t feel the need to pontificate and lecture others, the way liberals so clearly do.

This is a joke, right? Look at the Evangelical Trump supporters as Exhibit A.

I’m talking about in every day life, not at rallies, dope.

Oh, I didn't realize that Evangelicals only pontificated and lectured people at rallies.

Do you actually think all Trump voters (or even most) are Evangelicals? Oh, sweetie.

do you actually think all liberals pontificate and lecture others? Do you actually think only liberals are anti-Trump.. oh, sweetie... LOL

I don't think so. His approval rating at 977 days is exactly what Obama's was....42.5%

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/trump-approval-ratings/

Trump’s has never been above 50.

I agree. However that does not mean that "most of the country hates this guy".

Definitely not. I think some here hate him so unbelievably much that they project their irrational hate onto other Americans. Trump may be hated by some, but not “most”. Wishful thinking, at best.

It actually does. He’s a very polarizing figure, and people don’t feel neutral about him. I think the majority of people who don’t approve, and they are the majority, don’t just not approve, they hate him with the fire of 1,000 suns.

Well, certainly, you do. However, you do not speak for anyone but yourself.

Anonymous wrote:I think Virginia isn't locked up either way. I think Trump has a stronger chance if the opponent is very liberal. I think that Virginia leans left but not far left. I also think that issues like immigration play well in Virginia because Virginia has experienced a major immigration shift. In NoVA, there have always been immigrants so it isn't an anti-immigtration stance generally. But the recent influx of undocumented people has impacted schools and other social services. While most people here welcome the immigrants, most people also acknowledge that the area is experiencing growing pains. Walk through Tyson's Corner Center and you will find more recent immigrants than almost any other place in DC and from a diverse group of countries. Most of these immigrants are here legally and worked hard to be here. That makes people here a little less prone to feel guilt about saying we need to put the brakes on the influx. We are a diverse area but we need to have some control over it. So, back to the initial issue, if you get someone who is for open borders and virulently anti-gun and anti-military running against Trump, he will take it going away.

Bingo. Well said.

DP.. demographic trends of white people have less children, and there being more immigrants, legal ones, who are also not white. Pay attention.

https://apl.wisc.edu/data-briefs/natural-decrease-18

In 2016, more non-Hispanic whites died than were born in twenty-six states; more than at any time in U.S. history.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/226292/us-fertility-rates-by-race-and-ethnicity/

https://www.pewsocialtrends.org/2012/05/17/explaining-why-minority-births-now-outnumber-white-births/

The problem with attempting to use race to draw a statistical forecast is that race is a social construct and not a scientific one. Based on this chart, children of white and non white parents are labeled non white. Racial identification is a voluntary act. In addition, during the last election, more non white voters voted republican than in the previous two elections.

Oh, so, the fact that even our own government states that whites will be a minority soon then shouldn't scare some white people, right?

That's right.. I don't mark my biracial white children as just white. I mark them as white and their other race because that is what they are.

The Rs biggest group are aging white people and uneducated white males, and the rural areas. Both the aging population and rural areas are dying out.

Also, more conservatives voted for HRC than more liberals voted for Trump, and the way Trump's approval ratings are going, it's not looking good:

DP.. sure, but polls show that "majority" don't approve of Trump.
