Similarities between trump and hitler

Anonymous wrote:So, those of you making this comparison.... are you ignorant? Or, dimwitted? Or, are you a Holocaust denier?

No matter how much you may dislike or disagree with Trump, the warped practice of casually comparing him and other U.S. officials to the ruthless, merciless ghouls who executed 6 million souls and tortured and persecuted countless more simply for being Jewish or something else they despised is a disgrace and demonstrates massive, willful historical ignorance.

Criticizing the president is an all-American pastime, and a First Amendment right. That should not stop.

But those who resort to dimwitted Hitler references to denounce Trump embarrass themselves. Additionally, repeat a lie often enough and people begin to believe it. In a volatile age, no one knows where that might lead.

Yet the worst sin one commits with Trump-Nazi references is cheapening and trivializing the ghastly horror of Hitler’s “Final Solution” — the systematic, industrial-scale dehumanization and butchery of millions of people, the worst crime against humanity the modern world has ever seen. In case you’ve forgotten or don’t know what that is, check out the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum website.

It's especially horrible for those of us who had a grandparent who was a survivor of Hitler.

These Democrats insult the memory of all those who perished under Hitler's "final solution" by making such disgusting comparisons. Shameful.

Hitler took all the guns; Dems want to take away all the guns
Hitler destroyed political opposition; Dems want to destroy political opposition

Well, I came on here to do similarities between Hitler and trump but all the similarities lie with Hitler and democrats.

Not true.
Trump is revoking press passes as we speak.
Most Dems don’t.
The GOP systematically tries to cut down Ds. Gerrymandering. Removing governor powers for incoming D governor. Etc. etc.

You are projecting, methinks.

Dp here. I live in a congressional district gerrymandered by the same Democrats who stoically brought H.R. 1 to the House floor. Farce.

DP. Unless somebody has 100% Native American genes, everybody else is legal or illegal immigrant in the U.S. of A. He didn't say whether he would shoot a legal or illegal immigrant:

Donald Trump makes a comment about his current momentum at a campaign stop in Sioux City, Iowa on Saturday.

"You know what else they say about my people? The polls, they say I have the most loyal people. Did you ever see that? Where I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters, okay? It’s like incredible," Trump said.

I didn't see the democrats exempting Maryland from HR1.

It is an issue in Maryland as well as other states. They should all be corrected. But the GOP measures are more than extreme.

We all wish it weren't true, but sadly it is, and the comparison is justified. You're thinking about gas chambers and killing 6 million Jews. We haven't come to that, and probably won't, but Nazi propaganda started in exactly the same way the Trump administration is talking about Mexicans, Muslims, and other groups today. We are talking about a similar direction, and that in itself is dangerous.

I’ll be sure to let the folks who still bear Nazi tattoos that you feel their suffering is being used to trash someone you don’t like

I can’t believe this thread hasn’t been deleted. Actually, I can believe it. Unreal.

I agree with you.

It is shocking that this thread is still up. Beyond. Horrible. Rest in peace to the victims of the holocaust, there are many who will not let your memory and your suffering be forgotten or trivialized by sickos who want to reduce your hellish pain and torture to nothing...who want to use it as a cynical political tactic to scare the uneducated and ignorant. Shame on the OP.

I guess you missed all of the essays from the past year of Holocaust survivors who have written exactly that this era is reminicent of their childhoods, and not in a good way. Try the google machine and stuff the faux outrage.

“A reader letter left a strong impression on Suzanne La Rocque as she perused the March 19 print edition of the Sun:

A campaign characterized by bigotry and deception.
A candidate spewing venom and demagoguery at every opportunity.
A gullible electorate willing to blame minority citizens for perceived economic and social ills.
Adolf Hitler in 1933, Donald Trump in 2016. One and the same.

Jay resident Jim Haig submitted that letter in response to Donald Trump, the pugnacious real estate developer whose campaign for the Republican presidential nomination has drawn comparisons to totalitarianism due to the candidate’s rallies, which are being marred by physical confrontation and inflammatory rhetoric.

La Rocque responded with her own handwritten letter, which appears in this week’s edition. The North Creek resident called Haig’s perspective “a very fine observation.” “I am 89-years-old and an immigrant from Europe who lived with the horrors of the 1930’s and 40’s,” La Rocque wrote. “I still have the scars Hitler forced on us.”
