Black History Month. Does your child's school do anything if there's not a large AA population?

The school that one of my daughter's attends does not even have a Martin Luther King Assembly...Last year, it was referred to as the Peace & Freedom Assembly (I guess that there are people who are offended by the idea of a MLK Assembly).

So no, they do not do anything for Black History Month.

With that being said, I do think that they talk about the contributions of African Americans in the country throughout the year where it comes off a bit more genuine and less gratuitous.
