Wrap them in bacon and fry them. |
How many brussels sprouts would you serve each guest? ![]() |
1 but you cut them in quarters. |
Wow - how has a post about asparagus become 8 pages long?? ![]() |

Roasted in the oven with olive oil. Or sautéed with pecans. I love Brussel sprouts. Love the asparagus bundling idea. Elegant solution. |
You could always give the bottoms to the homeless. Like the muffin bottoms on Seinfeld. |
Original brussel sprout advocate here! Broil them with olive oil until crispy...Add salt...Enjoy! At least 7 sprouts per person. |
LOLLLLLL SPEARTA! |
This is so true, PP! When us DCUMers need to band together and help each other out the most, we really do come through. I can't think of a more poignant, special, crucial time to express solidarity and creative problem solving than this one. Clap....clap....clap. |
Hugs to all you veggie crunchers and salad munchers-you make this country great!!! |
If I walked into a house for a dinner party and smelled roasting brussels sprouts, I might have to walk out again. I love a properly prepared sprout, but roasted... GAG. Nothing smells nastier. And the smell lingers on clothes and hair. AND they taste terrible, with all the little browned bits that stick in your teeth.
Ack. I have to go. |
You forgot about the children. Of course, Natalie and Steven's mom insisted they take one spear each (for "color"), and Amanda actually likes asparagus and took 3 and came back for 2 more. But the rest of the kids (5 in all) took nothing, leaving more spears for the rest of the guests. |
You should serve corn. |
What about beets? I like beets. |
