If you lose weight with GLP-1, what do you tell people?

I'm honest. I gained a lot of weight and my doctor prescribed a GLP to help me lose. I lost the weight very slowly so I haven't gotten as many questions as others, but I openly discuss it. I'm not embarrassed.

Like every single case where there was an amazing transformation that I know of is due to GLP-1s. Nothing to be ashamed of and I don’t care as long as they are happy and don’t have side effects.

This. 4 women on my street have lost a ton of weight seemingly overnight. They look gaunt, have saggier skin, and faces are sallow. One of them (my neighbor) became unrecognizable - to the point where I didn't say hello on our walk because I had no idea who she was. Everyone can tell who is GLP-1 weight loss and those who lose it naturally. It's not rocket science. Plus, if you lose 40 lbs in a 2-3 months, we already know the answer

If people want to judge me for doing the right thing for my health, go for it.

I have lost 16 pounds in the past 2.5 months and nobody has commented. I am almost out of the overweight range and I feel great, though. If anyone were to comment, I would just say thank you and move on. Perhaps I might say that I lost weight to work on my health, which is the truth, since I was hypertensive and headed toward diabetes-land.

I don’t think anybody should be embarrassed about it. I think most of the people I’ve seen around lately have los weight with medication. It’s hard to ignore when two months ago They were 30 pounds heavier.

My only comment is that there is a “look” that many of them have. It’s a gaunt oval face? I don’t know how to describe it.

I tell them I stopped drinking alcohol. the shot makes me not wanna drink. So, it’s true.

Ditto here. I talk about it some with just a few close friends and family (I take compounded GLP-1). But neighbors/strangers I just say I’ve been eating/drinking less and exercising more and it’s 100% true. No need to spill all the beans.

I’ve lost 30lbs in 9 months. No one said anything to me until I passed 20lbs lost. I have another 27 lbs to go. So far I’ve gone from a size 16 to a size 12. I’m 5’10” so would be ecstatic at a size 8 or 10. I started at 222 lbs…aiming for 165.

I’ve lost about 20 pounds over 6 months and I would say maybe half the people I know have commented on weight loss, particularly women in the work place….i just tell people I’m eating a lot less (which is true.). I’ve told the people I’m closest I’m on a glp-1 and I’m sure some other people have guessed.

NP. I’ve lost 15 in 3 months naturally and got into the healthy range. No drugs. I’m hungry a lot though and it makes me irritable.

I have lost almost 40 lbs on it but only lost 1-2 sizes in pants, one size in my shirts because my (large) breasts are basically the same size! Only a few people have said anything, just you look great! There is someone else I know that I am wondering if she lost weight in it but only because her face looks deflated, so I haven’t said anything to her. It does make me nervous to lose too much and look older even though i technically need to lose another 25 to fall within “normal” weight. I’m tall.

30 lbs in 2 months is a lot. I've lost 20 in 3 months and no one has noticed or commented. Re: the "look," I think that's because a lot of people lose weight in their face first and if the person is middle aged, they are already lower on collagen so you see it more than someone who is in their 20s who has a lost a bunch of weight.

Nobody has asked but I also majorly upped exercise and changed my diet completely so that's the part I'd share with judgy people. With non-judgy nice people I'll be truthful and also tell them about tirzepatide.

I've lost 30 lbs since July and nobody has said anything except my mom and I was honest with her because she's my mom.

I love you! Seriously.

She is probably microdosing herself, just too judgmental to admit it.

I just assume everyone is on a GLP because there is no way someone goes from fat to skinny that fast.
