When will St Mary’s announce honor roll for 3rd trimester?

Doesn’t calling it “sports ball tournaments” tell you all you need to know about the complainant?

Why? Sorry — not up on the internet lingo.

The same parents here who think honor roll is “no big deal” would completely FREAK OUT if the school didn’t announce their snowflake’s CYO sports ball team “big win” in the Messenger. Hypocrites.

How do you know this? Can you see them through your screen? Are you psychic?

Look, I love that our school has an assembly recognizing academic achievement, but you are being ridiculous. Hopefully, when your kids move on to HS and college, you will find something else to do with your energy that isn’t so negative.

This OP is not concerned about publishing honor roll grades. She is on a campaign to publicly ridicule the school.
OP has already mentioned she doesn’t have enough influence in her family life to switch schools, apparently her husband makes the most important decisions in the family, even when she is opposed to these decisions.
So her chosen rebellion to this situation is to make ridiculous remarks about a school and even more ridiculous responses to other posters.

….though in truth, I almost hope this is a recent graduate, only because the responses to other posters are so sophomoric.

So sad and primitive. Instead of addressing the substance of the argument/issue, you make ad hominem attacks and question motives, etc. Not surprised that you deemphasize academics and prioritize sportsball.

But believe it or not, many parents would prefer an atmosphere that consistently celebrates and recognizes academic achievement.

If someone was just out to “ridicule the school,” there are many other things to focus on than honor roll! Talk to middle school parents.

I'm really hoping my kid will try out for the sports ball team someday.

I went to Stanford for undergrad, and OP would absolutely hate it. They didn't have a dean's list, and there was a huge emphasis on sports there. Obviously a school that doesn't value academics.

lol. Yes, st Mary’s is the Stanford of k-8. Indeed. No need to differentiate or encourage academics there bc every student at st Mary’s — like every student at elite universities — is assumed to be academically stellar. Got it.

Then choose another school.

Why do you never address this most relevant question?

The OP is somewhat obsessed with the honor roll but also throws in the curriculum and the number of assemblies and Masses when complaining about the school she chooses for her kids.
