I agree and I'm not a Jew but it boggles my mind that MAGAS worship an atheist who is an adjudicated rapist guilty of 34 felonies but are so racist, misogynistic, anti semitic they would never vote for a woman, Jew (or any religion other than Protestant). Quote honestly, it makes me sick that these people are allowed to contribute to the gene pool let alone allowed to vote!

Being a part of an unpopular POTUS Administration is politically damaging to a politician's future aspirations but the impact is less for those who weren't the VP. Pence and Harris, for example, will likely never be successful again if running for Federal Government level positions. I don't think Buttigieg's political career is over by any means but I also don't see 2028 Dem nominee in his future.

What Dems do have going in their favor is the fact that the 2028 GOP nominee is very likely to be a Trump endorsed candidate with close ties to Trump and therefore the 2028 nominee will be hindered by their ties to an unpopular POTUS.

AOC and Bernie's political views are a form of populism that appeals to the common middle and lower middle class Americans. Taxing the rich, removing the influence of money from politics, and closing the wealth gap are very popular political concepts with the overwhelming majority of Americans but they are very unpopular concepts with the mega donors of our two major political parties. The wealthy and powerful folks financing the campaigns of GOP and Dem politicians will never permit an AOC or Bernie being given a fair chance at a major party nomination.

When you lose to an opponent as weak and awful as Trump in 2 of 3 POTUS elections, irrational thoughts enter the equation when trying to figure out what happened. Dems aren't "stuck" on anything and once the dust settles, Dems will no longer be in this phase of thinking a candidate must be of a certain religion, gender, or race in order to be viable. The fact is, Dems lost in 2024 due to the tribulations of a Christian white man and everyone will come to realize this obvious truth sooner than later.

Actually, it was your people who, until Trump, always insisted that a President wear his faith on his sleeve and would say things like “I would never vote for an Atheist.” How they gave up that conviction for Trump,I will never ever understand.

They would still need to show some intentions. As far as I am concerned the reneged on their contract last time. They said they were going to solve all of these class issues wealth inequality, but then they spent a better part of four years trying to get amnesty in a reconciliation package. Are they going to do a 180 on sanctuary city nonsense any time soon? I liked the busing of migrants to blue states. GOP et al showed they meant business.
