It seems like not many clubs want NM "on their side" - ask GFR or FVU or Mclean how that worked out for them.

Who are you going to ask at GFR? The 3 soccer dads who are now running it?

Ok, so your preference is to discount GFR. Fair enough. How about FVU or Mclean or Herndon? Why don't they want to work with NM? Or should we discount those, too?

He left Herndon. McLean already had a TD so why would they work with someone that is a TD at another club when they are trying to not partner with anyone. Did FVU not want NM or did they not want GFR because of history with the Welsh’s and BRYC?

I’m not familiar with FVU. But I wouldn’t use Herndon as an example of a great youth soccer program. They’re an even bigger mess than GFR - although that is almost debatable now.

It's not about whether GFR or FVU or Mclean or Herndon should be considered "great youth soccer programs". The point is, why do none of them want to work with NM anymore? Now, if you are of the opinion that none of those clubs constitute "great youth soccer programs", that's actually even worse because that would mean that not even "bad" programs want to be affiliated with NM anymore. Why is that if he's such a great asset?

Why would the Herndon staff love him? He left and half the club followed him and his coaches.

He left Herndon. The people who fired him at GFR don’t know anything about him and if he’s an asset, he was fired because they decided they didn’t want the contract with TF anymore and terminated it. I don’t know what happened at McLean.

There are a lot of girls from the DMV playing D1 college right now who think he’s a great asset and coach. It’s his business practices that some have had issues with.

That brings up an interesting debate with US youth soccer especially in this area. Families clearly want to work with him and follow him but non soccer board members do not. Do those people make the best decisions for the club by saving money that ends up leaving anyways? I guess we will find out with GFR if they get a better return on investment.

Only ncsl games this morning. ML and NM don’t even coach those teams and they were the only ones let go. So either you’re making this up or you’re just guessing.

Not making it up. It was U11, Haytham showed up halfway through the game to coach.

Haha get used to that with Haytham. Was he still drunk?

He's with GFR?

Yep, brought some of his ac Milan teams to GFR

He worked at McLean for like 10-15 years. McLean didn’t want to work with Union which was financial or boys related.

And now Union has parted ways with him, too?

No no no… the people at Herndon are stepping up and showing up this month and next until people make that first payment and tie themself up with the club… then they’ll go back to doing what they’ve done the past 3 years I’ve been around the club which is NOTHING!
They had a coach meeting yesterday to let them know they don’t have any idea what teams the coaches will be coaching. Everyone is leaving Herndon! People at Herndon don’t care about anyone who lives and is from Herndon to start with. The only thing they care about is making up the numbers so they can get paid

Been around 10 years and this is EXACTLY what will happen. Herndon will never and I mean NEVER put any effort and focus on the girls program as long as NA is around. They have been falling apart since before Covid and everyone who tries to speak up and actually makes an impact disappears within a few months.

Great falls. Look it up.

Most of the players and families at Herndon loved the DMV coaches and that’s why they followed them from Herndon to DMV to GFR. It’s the board members who don’t like them. I have no idea why. If I could guess I would say it has something to do with them not liking the structure of the TF contract. That and some TDs feeling threatened by coaches who are actually better at coaching than them.

They have tryouts starting Monday and don't know who is coaching which team? Who will evaluate the players at tryouts?
