Nobody assumed for this particular incident. Someone just stated the general, statistically accurate, truth: that *usually* it's Black students. Why? Not because Blackness somehow confers a criminal mind. Now THAT would be horrifically racist! But because criminality correlates with poverty (due to financial stress) and low-income families in the DC region are overwhelmingly families of color, especially Black.

There was a student/staff basketball game today and I'm sure there were kids who left campus during that time. Doors aren't locked from the inside unless there's a lockdown. I find it hard to believe PP's kid was able to leave during the lockdown, though. My kid was in his 4th period class until the end of the day and no one was even allowed to leave the classroom to go to the bathroom.

Maybe that's what the PP who's kid left meant - kid left during game. Depending on the time of the game, kid left and school went into lockdown.

After reviewing footage of the fight
it was determined that some of the people involved were students at Bethesda-Chevy Chase.

So, those students involved in incident had been on campus in morning then left? or they never entered school doors today?

How does lunch distribution work if everyone is lockdown and then shelter in place? What food(s) did they offer students (staff?) today?
