Leaf blowing is driving me insane

You need therapy.

This a common, time limited reality of living in the suburbs.

How do you cope with serious problems??

You clearly do not have a yard, kids, and dogs. If I were to ignore or mulch the leaves, I would have a mat of mud by the next spring and would never be able to find the dog droppings. I don't think many of you understand the volume of leaves that fall in older neighborhoods with big trees.

You need a basic decent mower. Most every mower now mulches leaves. Have over 40 trees on one of my properties, and a couple mowings after the leaves fall and it's all mulched up and never knew there were any leaves.

I mulch our leaves with a mower. So much easier than blowing/raking and bagging leaves.

Then go to the office and work

For reals. Always wonder about the mental health of people who still rake and bag leaves. That's just beyond dumb of them.

Raking leaves is the one yard chore I enjoy. The sound of the rake, the crisp cold fresh air -- no mosquitos, no heat stroke. Excellent low-impact exercise, too. And the smell: "i LOVE THE SMELL OF RAKING LEAVES IN THE MORNING."

So leave them. Rake from one spot to the next until next summer. If you bag then, then you are lying about loving to rake.

I live in a neighborhood with a combo of hippie types who leave their leaves for the bugs and lazy types who don’t bother, and I don’t have this problem.

We have other noise though.

But basically that particular noise pollution is a cost of living in a fancy neighborhood.

I'm joining the insanity. If it's supposed to be so efficient how is it possible they started blowing at 8am and are still going?!?!?!?!??
