Did you meet any institutional priorities? |
They admit in both rounds. They only recommend that athletes apply EA instead of ED. |
Sure |
+1. Athletes or URM or first-generation |
Exactly. |
SAT for revenue athletes can go MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH lower than 1300. 1300 is an auto. |
...Sure? Who are you and why would you waste people's time with a comment like this. I am really disappointed that people here keep trying to push their agendas about everything on others. Me and DH met at UVA and our son desperately wanted to carry that on. It is unfair to treat that pain with scorn, because you have some skepticism for whatever reasons. This place is becoming rancid. |
Still think it's a troll. Someone is posting lower stats and claiming to be an athlete in a number of threads. |
Right? No way PP expected anyone to believe this, especially at a supposedly "rigorous" private. |
I recently read how much harder it is for football players to get into UVA than Duke and UNC. The admit standards for athletes are higher at UVA. |
+10000000 If Harvard is 1370 UVA could be literally 1100 or something. There's a rule in the Ivy athletic conference that requires athletes admitted to any Ivy to have "commensurate" academic chops and I know of no such rule in any other athletic conference. |
I read this too... forgot the name of the article but see if you can find it: https://theonion.com/ |
LOL |
People with 1500+s have been rejected from UVA for years now. Seems there's a lot of parents new to the college admissions game. |
The PP said "sure" because she didn't believe it, and I don't either. On the bright side, your DS is quite likely to find a satisfactory spouse at some other school. |
