How do guys feel about a woman who had plastic surgery?

I don't think she was all that impressed with me, either.

I am skeptical that the guy who judges surgery scars will be happily accepting of natural sag, stretch marks, etc.

Sounds like she had a lift.

I have to say - as much as I roll my eyes at the people who are simply fainting over adult women taking agency over their appearance, it really does hurt my heart (and eyes) to see people in their 20s using botox and filling their faces with injectables. On the one hand, you're supposed to try out all kinds of looks and stuff, even regrettable ones, when you're young - if not then, when? But on the other, it just seems so g.d. sad. And unnecessary. And frankly not attractive, not that they care what some 51 year old thinks.

The young women end up with the same uniform face as the older women with the same procedures. It makes everyone look identical, no matter the age. Freaky.

I think pp's point is that we consume all kinds of "toxins" on a regular basis

Dp, I cannot tell if you are being purposely clueless or what. Many people chose to put various toxins in their body everyday. Some rarely get questioned. Alcohol is a toxin. You obviously don’t know that or it’s of such little consequence to you that you missed the point.

My wife has had a boobjob and has done a bit of botox. She’s a wonderful person and I wouldn’t trade her for anyone in the world. Oh, and she looks amazing (but she did before the work).

Got a boob job after nursing three kids. Husband thrilled. I got the boobs back that I had had in my early twenties. I doubt anyone but my husband and I noticed because I had been padding my bra for years. I also get Botox, which he hadn’t really noticed until Covid when I couldn’t get it for a long time. He remarked that I suddenly looked “refreshed” and I explained well sure, because I finally got back into the med spa!

Well, not anymore after the surgery I don’t! But yes, some people have aspects of themselves they want to improve for visual reasons. Same reason you get braces instead of leaving your teeth crooked.

There is a big double standard when it comes to plastic surgery. When women do so they are more likely to get a pass and I won't list all the various excuses given.

However when a man goes under a knife if people aren't gross out he is lucky.

For me there are no differences they are both fixing insecurities and I am fine with it.
