Exactly. It screams codependency which can also be abuse in certain situations. How would you feel if your spouse came in and tried to do work on a project that had no role in?! |
Quoting myself to correct Parker* |
That’s actually an awful response. She is making fun of fans, who are the reason she has an acting job, for wanting to speak with her? If you don’t want to talk to people say you are flattered but since this film has such serious themes that they should speak to a professional. And that those women who want to tell their stories are brave and admirable. Or something. She seems really witchy in that response. |
Yeah this was hard to watch. And also so holier than thou for a Woody Allen movie in 2016! Disgusting truly. |

I remember liking Blake Lively in the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movies before she got really famous, so I've always sort of rooted for her. But it's clear that she's just not very smart or talented. Her acting is mostly mediocre, and she is just not savvy enough to come across as genuine and likable in interviews. I also find her fashion plate aspirations as really try-hard and find her more authentic and believable playing outgoing, athletic girls/women.
I wouldn't be surprised if she's trying to emulate Margot Robbie's press tour with the fluff and colorful outfits. But Robbie is much more talented, beautiful, and likable than Lively. |
He likely hired the PR crisis manager because this is bigger than beef with Blake lively. This actually started with an issue between him and Colleen Hoover. He basically pulled a scooter Braun… eg what scooter did Taylor with her music portfolio.
Justin optioned the book to become a movie before it really got big. But just as his option was about to run out….interesting timing because the book got really big. Instead of optioning out and giving her the rights to sell it at a much higher price to someone else, he retained the rights. So she missed out on a really huge payday. |
AND very interesting note they chose Taylor Swifts, my teardrops ricochet, as the song in the movie which is one of the songs Taylor wrote about scooter Braun , about her situation! |
It sounds like a smart financial move on his part. Why would he not retain the rights and make money? |
That’s nothing like what Scooter Braun did. |
I’m sorry this makes no sense. He had the common sense to buy it before anyone else knew it might be big which seems very business savvy on his part. What other businessman would we expect to be like, Wow this got really big, I’m gonna let another person buy it and completely lose out! That is absolutely insane. I mean, unless you’re saying he should give her the right to buy it back? Even so, is that how the business world really works? Do we really expect anyone to operate that way? And would he take a loss? So basically just because he decided to buy it at a really smart time, he should be punished and not have the rights at all and just give it away,….i am really confused about what he did wrong here. Also Colleen Hoover stayed very involved so she’s clearly making bank from this. She also asked him to direct and star. I don’t know this is just not adding up what he did wrong. |
Exactly. He was astute enough to get the option early, good for him. |
Whatever he did made an entire crew and staff want nothing to do with him. This is more than a petty argument. |
Wow, absolutely. She's ridiculous and I bet trashed him to hell and back to her female costars and Hoover, who of course took her side without knowing the whole story. |
Please, they are scared shitless of getting the same treatment. Did you see her interview with her other costar? The guy looks like he is dying inside and cannot stand her or the crap she says. |
