I got sucked into this post because it exists. I don't care about sports at all.

A couple things come to mind. But mainly...so many of these athlete guys have that same skinny blonde cheerleader type girlfriend. And golddigger issues.

If this woman is somebody he liked before he got presumptively rich and she keeps him out of drugs and other girl trouble, who's to say his life is going to be worse? And if he just wants a hot, skinny blonde wife, then mission accomplished.

There are occasional grey areas where things can work fine despite the laws or norms. President Macron being the most obvious example. And that situation was way sketchier.

The bad sign is the alienated parents.

The Mormon church is not anti birth control. They believe it's a family decision and it's covered as part of their health insurance plan for employees.

The rumor is he purposely screwed up interviews with other teams so he could go to the Utah Jazz team located in Mormon-ville SLC. Their CEO Danny Ainge is also a Mormon.

It seems like this was part of the plan for her and her parents to maintain control of Kyle. Much easier to keep him on a tight leash in Utah and on a team with Mormon owners.

I hope this man is able to break free. I feel so badly for him mom. I have a 20 year old son and would be beside myself if he fell into this kind of cult and relationship.

He went to high school in Massachusetts. The age of consent in MA is 16 years old. It’s likely that there was nothing technically illegal happening between them. (Unless they truly started dating when he was 14-15 which is when she graduated from college)
