That's the real issue. Covid and streaming destroyed the industry. Also the budget was WAY to large for what it was. |
I haven't seen the movie and probably won't, but Zendaya is stunning and seems to have the best fashion intuition or the best stylist in the business. |
I love Zendaya. The most mystifying thing about this movie in my eyes is why they cast two homely guys to compete for her love. (Though I did love Josh O'Connor in "The Crown." |
I read the script and it was clearly meant for a black actress with more of a traditional tennis build as the writer seemed to have someone more like the Williams sisters in mind. I love Zendaya but she is horribly miscast. Her build and posture are just super unathletic. The dudes are also miscast. |
+1 Casting Zendaya makes no sense honestly. It makes the budget of this type of film bigger than it should be to accommodate her salary. And there are many different types of bodies under “thin”. Maria Sharapova and Venus Williams are also thin but have muscle definition and actually look like they could hit a serve 100+ mph. |
She is far from petite and I would bet good money you are not a mid 50's mom with the same build as Z. There is no possible way. She is beyond thin. |
She looks perfect and beautiful and athletic. |
I play every week. No one in my club or any club I go to looks emaciated. None. |
What? This is actually a good movie. |
Point was artsy tasty and Mama wasn’t a tall waif in heels supposedly playing tennis 5 hours a day. |
Whelp, I can see how one ankle twist took her out.
No muscles to keep the ankle aligned well. And she wanted playing on her toes or in Ready stance ever. |
John Goodman & Larry David were not available. |
No, those are nipples. |
Why is this ugly woman forced down our throats? Of all the gorgeous women in America, THIS is the thing they pretend is a bombshell? |
