How do you get over the hunger cravings?

I need to start dieting and watching what I eat. Working out alone isn’t cutting it like when I was young.

I am tracking my calories and aiming to eat 1300-1400 per day. I am freaking starving. I walk 15,000+ steps a day, weight lift 2-3 times a week and try to fit in bike riding on off days (peloton).

Do I just drink more water and hope the hunger pains subside?

Isn’t Ozempic the answer here? Have you tried it?

Your height BMI. I looked up 5’7” and BMI of 19 is 121 pounds. Does that seem right?!? That is more what I should be aiming for?

Op

If you want to look thin-to-very-thin, yes.

Op - can you get ozempic when you are still within the normal range of BMI? I am on the high side for my height but not classified as “overweight “.

For 10 pounds? It will be costly and there are unpleasant side effects.

I met with a nutritionist recently to talk about weight loss and it wasn't as restrictive as people are talking about in this thread. If you like granola for breakfast, eat a little granola. Just don't eat a whole bag of it. This is stuff you know already.

Posters here can pick apart every thing you are eating and talk about how it's not the healthiest or whatever but this doesn't sound sustainable. Please meet with a nutritionist or doctor.

Maybe it's muscle mass you are gaining. Don't look at the weight #. But, see if you have anything that jiggles. Yep, try that. You can weight 130 and have jiggly areas.
You can do a plank and see if your stomach area look and feel jiggly or just meat.
