Why don't you do this now?
They don’t carry nearly as many hardback/paperback books and certain areas, like mystery, rarely have new books on the shelf. They are spending their money on audio and kindle type books instead. Plus, they aren’t buying those, they rent them. So, it’s hard to find books that are a few years old unless they are popular.

My local library got rid of every book older than 10 years (I mean the physical printing). So there are some older books but new printings. I used to really love finding some ancient novels or Sci fi.
Well known authors will only have their most popular work on the shelf. The shelves look empty!

I miss going shopping in a well organized store that doesnt look like a ghost town and having actual employees there to help you.
I visited my sister in Japan and I was marveling at how crowded the stores all were. She said people prefer to buy in person and don't really shop online because their houses are so tiny and drafty that they like to get out of them as much as possible.

I miss companies that had some ethics, and customer service departments that truly cared.

I am so sick of companies' greed. You have a warranty for something and they won't honor it because OF COURSE your problem is always something that isn't covered.

Now there are so many complex loopholes for the consumer, there is virtually no protection from the greed of companies.

You have a situation that needs to be resolved and the customer service rep (in another country) has no clue what you are talking about, let alone have the ability to resolve it.
