HS principal and kinky boots

Lots of really stupid people posting today. It's a play, she's helping them to promote it. Nothing wrong with that. The post wasn't even hers, it was the theatre program's post. They invited her to come by and try on the boots. Please.

1. The photo is taken inside her school
2. This was posted using the school's official account
3. Those who disagree with your views could easily call you "stupid" as well, but they seem to be less hateful than you and focus on criticism of the post itself.

Some of you have never actually interacted with your teenagers, and what they know about sex/sexuality.

And it shows.

That doesn't mean it's appropriate as a high school musical.

Some teens are having sex. That doesn't mean we should celebrate and promote it at school.

So no to Grease and west side story!

They don’t have drag queens.

I guess I'm old. This seems horribly inappropriate for both a principal and a school play.

My school did Gypsy in the early 90s. People are more conservative 30 years later, apparently?

You said we should not promote sex.

Grease has sex and drugs, west side has sex and gangs.

Do you want to promote that with teens?

Do you think Grease is inappropriate? Or do you think teens should have sex, smoke and change their whole personality for a bit?

Our school did grease a few years ago. They skipped the pregnancy scare subject and there was no depiction of smoking.

Now that sounds reasonable! Bravo!

You’re clearly grasping at straws. Keep drag queens away from schools please.

Have any of you furious with the schools choice ever seen the show? It's actually about a shop/store that had hand made shoes forever, and when mass industrialization came along and people could get cheap shoes, they were going to go out of business. People would have lost jobs and livelihoods.

Happenstance (I think a mugging?) Leads the shoemaker to a drag queen who explains the mass produced shoes don't work for males (center of gravity is different), and the shoe store begins to make shoes that work for the drag queens. Store stays open (rather than selling the building to the highest bidder which would have made the owner rich and screwed all the long-term employees), people stay employed, drag queen get sturdy shoes [boots] where the heels don't break off as they dance. It's a win-win-win
