Men’s 14.8 |
That’s what happens when you only air the men’s game on TBS or Max. The women’s was on ABC, ESPN, and ESPN+. It’s almost like if you make something accessible to watch, people will watch. Overall, the entire tourney was a snoozefest for both M and W. No Cinderellas. 38-0 team for women's = BORING. No real nailbiters or interesting upsets on men's side. Thank God, Marchadness is over and we are another month closer to NFL, which is the only sport this country cares about anyway. |
At 3pm in the afternoon But it’s true a study found the only reason women had less viewership was marketing and accessibility. Not because “nobody wants to watch women” So we agree with each other. Go women’s sports! |
Yes, because the NFL is known for cinderella stories. |
GMAFB you big crybaby. The women's game was at 3 p.m. on a Sunday. Men had primetime spot, as usual. |
Honestly, I really think this is a you problem. I know several current and former college players on the women’s side (my son shared a trainer with them) and I’ve met several WNBA players (as well as some G league guys and international players). I absolutely never encountered anything but humility and positivity from WNBA players either in person or in the media. |
+1. I grew up in the 1960s & 1970s LOVING basketball. I played in college & played a lot in the Navy. The NBA is unwatchable. I don’t know what the hell those guys are doing, but it’s not basketball. Men’s college basketball gets worse every year, & will soon be unwatchable too. The women’s college game is getting bad too. Just way too many 3-point shots & not enough passing & working to get a high% shot. |
3 point shots are better than higher percentage jump shots. I'm just shocked it took as long as it did for front offices and coaches to realize that 3 is 50% bigger than 2, so a 3 you make at a 35% rate is a better shot than mid range that you can hit at 45%. |
Basketball, in general, is becoming unwatchable. |
