I DID NOT change the rules. I said name someone who could jump in the race TODAY and beat Trump. Whitmer isn’t going to. Richie Torres isn’t going to. Not today. Maybe in 4 1/2 years. I really hope so! Please understand not liking your choices doesn’t mean you don’t have one. |
Whitmer or Torres given the endorsement of the current President and the backing of the party could beat Trump. You are correct that they will not get that. You are correct that you posed a hypothetical question which it is clear will not come to pass. People really struggle to give up power. But that does not mean because the Democrats didn’t do what Biden promised he would in 2020 (remember the caretaker candidate? I know it was a long time ago..) that Biden is owed votes. It’s incredibly condescending to look at achievements that overwhelmingly benefited white men and start lecturing women and BIPOC to “stop complaining”. I hope you realize how much you’re part of the problem. Tell your candidate to start listening to what voters are telling him instead of yelling at them because he doesn’t like what he’s hearing. |

Educate yourself about strategy. Biden was not chosen to be the perfect president...he was chosen to beat trump because Hillary lost and lessons were learned. If your candidate cannot win the general election, it makes zero difference how passionate are the supporters. Trump supporters are about to see 5hus happen for the second time. He is an extremely poor quality candidate in a general election even if some his base will literally commit crimes for him. |
And it looks like your candidate is at risk of not winning the general election. Why? Because he’s alienating young voters and BIPOC. So tell him to do better for those groups. He managed to get tons done for white men in this country, now he’s got about ten months to do something for the demographics that elected him. |
So he decided to not address issues people have with his policy? And we are supposed to rejoice? No progress on healthcare, total immigration mess...At what point will people decide that they in fact do not want to keep showing up and voting for the least bad choice? |
When do we not vote for the least bad choice? It is always the least bad choice with maybe a few exceptions..... Obama......what are the others? That is how it is. |
Many people decide to stay home and not vote rather than do this. Being the candidate against Trump doesn't mean all Democrats/Independents and Republicans who are not far gone to Trumpism are going to show up and vote for Biden. If he does not campaign on improving/changing some of his policies, he is going to lose voters, some to no vote at all. |
Imagine how much entitlement it takes to work for three years and then say “OK I’ve done everything I’m going to do, now start shouting at everyone I didn’t GAF about”
|
That's fair! (As long as you don't do it in a way that discourages other people from voting for him.) |
I think you to read what Biden has accomplished. I’m sorry this country is still so racist that the MAGA SCOTUS stopped some good policies that would have help more Black Americans. But to say Biden has not done anything for young and BIPOC people is disingenuous. |
Need to read! |
Will you be encouraging people to vote for Biden? |
I do not have this type of pull with strangers. Everyone I am close to is voting Biden. Is Biden going to encourage undecided voters to vote for him? That's really his job and his team's job, and what they should focus on now on a large scale. |
I find that most of the people complaining that Biden hasn't done anything are saying that from a place of low information. For example, they don't know that the Inflation Reduction Act helps lower drug prices and ACA health care premiums. |
