PSA! IF YOU HAVE BIKE LANES IN FRONT OF YOUR BUILDING PLEASE SHOVEL THEM!

Anonymous
If I do... will you bike supremacists actually use the bike lanes and GTFO the sidewalk?!! Because my DC neighborhood is really well served by bike lanes, but cyclists still insist on scattering pedestrians (especially mothers carrying bags on one arm and holding a child by the hand with the other) on every block of the sidewalks.

Well that went well entitled OP

We have a lawful right to ride on the sidewalk if we deem conditions in the street are too unsafe. So with all due respect, sit down and shut up.

Clearly OP is an anti-bike troll trying to be funny. Big fail, OP

Don’t be surprised if someone throws you to the ground.

Did OP ever come back?

Thanks for the laugh OP! This has to be one of the more ridiculous things I’ve read on this site.

Great reply to get people to shovel the street for you.

TIA.

Are you serious?! Sidewalks, definitely. Bike lanes? No way. And it’s not even safe for you to be riding when drivers are slipping and sliding.

+1
This thread did not go the way OP had hoped. What a joke.

Or you'll just go ahead and knock me down on the sidewalk with your bike, right?

A vibrant city should have sidewalks full of pedestrians. This is the only city I've ever lived in that allows sidewalk cycling, and I'm sure it is a legacy of the many decades DC's urban core was empty.

Too obvious. A stick in the spokes will suffice.
