Macys! I don’t remember the specific brand, sorry. I went to the store and felt allll the towels and picked the softest, thickest ones. I bought white because they’re bleachable.

When I was shopping, many sites recommended Frontgate towels. I wanted to be able to touch so I didn’t go that route.

One year I did a pair of kitchen shears (you can usually get the Wusthof or Henckels ones on sale for under 20 dollars on black friday at Macy's etc.) for the office gift exchange and they were frequently stolen.

With everybody shopping online these days, a box cutter is also a very practical gift. I keep one by the door just for Amazon boxes!

I’m surprised! This hasn’t been my experience. I’ve had the same few pairs for at least 4 years and they’re still going strong. And I have a few pairs of toddler Bombas that have made it through 3 kids. Maybe the quality has gone downhill as they’ve gotten bigger.

Yes, we call it “the tool.” We have one upstairs and one downstairs and give them as gifts.

Battery organizer! We got one as a gift and both DH and I comment on how great it is multiple times a year.

A tool kit, with one of those inter changable screwdrivers where you can change the head (phillips, regular, and different sizes of each).

I got one for college graduation and though of great. But i still have it and use it 30 years later.

I had one of these in the kitchen drawer for the longest time and it was great. Now it has walked off somewhere and I occasionally miss it. I think this would make a great gift, especially for a young person living in a small apartment or dorm.
