Is Quinn a male or female name to you?

Female.

I think of Quinn Cummings, child actor turned writer/ humorist/ activist.

Either, but I only know male Quinns.

I know 3 Quinns and they are all female. All young, my daughters’ ages.

Same, and it is a family surname down the maternal line for us too, but both male and female, though usually a middle name if female.

WTF Quynh/Quinn is a very common Vietnamese name

Qin was the first Chinese emperor, who united the country, built the Great Wall, etc

But then you should also know Qin is pronpunced "Cheen" so it's not at all like Quynh/Quinn, which should the same

And Taco Bell is not real Mexican food.

It wouldn't be the first time parents used an ethnic name and Americanized for ease.

That’s interesting, if you look up the origins of Quinn, you’ll also find research on its Irish roots - O’Cuinn or Conn. seems like there are a number of variations of the name around the world

I know males of all ages with it as a first name but only younger girls, and tons of people with it as a surname!

Both just like Aubrey, Riley, and Angel.

If over age 40, a male, If under age 40, a girl. But realizing that it might be wrong either way -- that's just playing the odds.
