Sent friend flowers for milestone birthday and got text thanks

Anonymous
I'd be perfectly happy with that--I sent my mom flowers one year (70th perhaps?) and I have no idea what they looked like. I think the thanks was a post on Facebook. I was sort of bummed because I'd have loved to see what they looked like and if they were fresh and what kind of flowers $50 bought. That's the only time I've ever done a flower delivery.

If I receive flowers (which this same friend has sent me) I text a picture of what they sent and call with a big thanks for their thoughtfulness.

Are you for real? "Gushing and gushing" should be left for an overflowing hydrant, not over something you can do in 4 clicks from your phone.

I am not the OP, but I think you may be misunderstanding OP’s follow up (which should have been more clear and in the OP).

I think OP is questioning her own text + pic thank you because her friend’s thank you for the same gift was a gushing phone call.

I didn't misunderstand anything. OP is needy and a poor communicator.
