Why exactly are you so bothered? |
We're in the range of $5-10mil. Do we feel rich? No. Comfortable? Absolutely.
We plan to work for another 15 years, but don't worry about money at all for our current lifestyle. So definitely not a nightmare as the thread title suggested. |
Its certainly "ok." But it doesn't make $5M a "nightmare" by any standard. |
$5-10M is a HUGE range. Do you not know how much money you have? |
Seems like a small range to me. |
+1 Not enough to comfortably retire at 50 and maintain the same lifestyle/travel in retirement. But definately not enough to worry about finances, and if we keep working until 60 we will be set |
That nightmare line quoted from the show was a joke. No one is saying it's the worst thing to ever happen to them, except maybe Prince Harry. However, it does highlight how $5M is not quite enough to retire at 40 and support your family in the way that someone who has $5M would want to live. |
You are an annoying fu*k, aren't you? For what's it's worth, I prob. have a bigger P than you. My 8th grader prob. does as well.. |
hmmm $0-5M is a huge range, $5-10M is not. Whatever the amount is doesn't change the conclusion. And why do I need to tell you the exact amount? You're out of your mind. |
You don’t need to tell me, I don’t care. I just think it’s funny you don’t know. |
It’s a 100% difference. Imagine this: “hi, we are interested in buying this house, how much is it?” “It’s $1-2m.” |
Nobody was buying anything. In this context that would also be a reasonable range to give. |
You can't tell the difference between I don't know and I don't want to tell you? |
It’s an anonymous board lady. You can tell us you have a billion dollars if you want to. |
Which makes the persistence in asking even more bizarre. |
