Men, do you care if your wife puts effort into her appearance?

Right now it’s still cold, so I wear joggers with a sweatshirt. Dh actually complimented the look. I think fit, cut and style matters.

When it’s warmer I wear t shirt dresses.

I’m in the office half the time and Dh looooves my work clothes. I have 3 kids and one is a baby so I change super quickly when I get home. Otherwise my left shoulder will have baby drool on my silk shirts.

Men love “obese” women like me if we are relatively attractive and have a large chest. I have absolutely 0 concern that I would find a man if god forbid I were single again.

Yes poor guys love that body type. I'm not poor though. To answer OPs question, I don't care if my wife wears makeup or dresses "nice." She looks super hot in a pair of sweatpants. She does go to the gym on a regular basis but her body was always amazing anyway. She wants six pack abs which I care absolutely nothing about. But whatever she wants, I support it.

No sweetie not just “poor” guys. Real life is not DCUM and men IRL drool over any attractive woman who is minimally polite and pleasant.

Duh because men will sleep with anything but a relationship is different. Fat women put out easier.

FFS. The fat hate on this forum is so juvenile. If you don't like fat women, don't date them. If you don't want to be fat, then don't be. But the bashing and insulting is ridiculous. I can't believe y'all are parents acting like this. Do you teach your kids to say hateful things?

Not all men like skinny minnies

I am 6’4” muscular 255 lbs. Skinny woman do nothing for me.

5’4” - 135-155 with curves is ideal.

That's still well within a healthy range for a woman of that height. So you like healthy women with curves, not overweight women who claim to be curvy.

The OP asked men if they cared if their wives put in effort into their appearance.

But many of the responses are from women that basically say: "I'm kinda chubby, but not fat, and my husband tells me I'm attractive. And sometimes Steve from the office gives admiring glances. Therefore, I am giving myself permission to stay frumpy."

As a woman it is my impression that guys check out the body first. All else is secondary. Once I was meeting my husband for coffee and surprised him by wearing a wig for the first time. He literally walked by without recognizing me.

If the wig was blonde maybe he'd notice?

Size 6 doesn't allow a 31 inch waist. A size 6 would cause a muffin top.

Weight isn’t the only thing that makes you frumpy. I see plenty of average weight women who would be very attractive if they put more effort in their clothes, hair, and makeup. It does make a difference, at least to my husband. At my weight I could easily look frumpy but I dress in flattering and attractive clothes.

Lol very true. Maybe one to 3 men straggle around dcum. I doubt more than that so uppity fat women take over the ask men threads.

No, PP is right. A 31 inch waist is around a size 10.

I'm 5'7", 115lbs, and I have a 29" waist. I could gain 8lbs and have a 31" waist. It depends on your body type.
