Are you the same OP on the other thread about the Rockville pool? This thread was created back in March and died out. Why did you revive it? Move on. Maybe seek some counseling. |
RMSC, NCAP, or ASA are tops.
TIBU and JFD are ok. Not TOLL, coaches are average at best. They coached our summer team and not impressed. Anyone know anything about the new Quince Orchard Swim Academy? Former JFD coaches. |
In our experience, summer coaches rarely "coach" and leave everything to the teenagers. |
Our summer coach works incredibly hard, seems to be everywhere at once, and mentors our junior coaches extremely well. The atmosphere on the entire team is supportive, the operation is well-run, and swimmers and families are extremely enthusiastic. I think it is important to have a summer coach with a genuine love for the experience of summer team, rather than someone who has the technical skills but just phones the operation in while waiting to get back to USA Swimming meets. The team reps are also absolutely key. |
Toll does not “coach a summer team”. Toll has multiple coaches who coach multiple different summer teams |
What about the Capitol Sea Devils for swim? How are the coaches? |
Good option for people who are looking for something more low-key but still want access to meets. They swim at the JCC in Rockville, Holton Arms and St Alban’s, so it fills the gap for families looking for something less competitive in Bethesda/Potomac/Chevy Chase/NW DC now that JFD is no longer offering a competition program at Gtown Prep. |
Lol, yeah, what? |
The landscape is confusing because RMSC and ASA both have summer league options where you swim exclusively with your club teammates in MCSL. Which is not the case for Toll. Toll swimmers and coaches are spread over a variety of summer teams |
🙄, this is not true. There are several teams that have a lot of RMSC or ASA swimmers but they are not “exclusively” made up of swimmers from those clubs. Perhaps you need to brush up on either your vocabulary or your trolling skills. |
