To answer your question, OP, no, there are undoubtedly many, many thousands, if not millions, of women who sighed and went on with their day upon learning of Tiger's juvenile behavior. Literally didn't give it another thought. But most of them are not looking for validation about how special that makes them. We realize that people have different experiences, different triggers, and different reactions. And we can recognize a behavior as sexist even if it didn't personally bother us.

He's a high profile athlete whose entire joke was that another player was so bad he was "playing like a woman". Although I personally DGAF what Tiger Woods does (he's a pathetic hot mess of a human) I can certainly see how his behavior would be disheartening to other women and especially young female athletes. I certainly wouldn't be going around looking for validation at my lack of a reaction.

I mean, doesn't he have a daughter? Imagine him trying to explain the joke to her. What a tool.

+1. There's also this "eww tampons" aspect to it that a lot of us encountered in high school or even worse which made life harder when you had your period. Having to hide your tampons or act like they're shameful is stupid and harmful to young girls.

Outrage? Not really. Extremely tired of "ew periods are gross" attitude the whole stunt shows? Yes.

I’m not dismissing her opinion that is her opinion. But the reason for her opinion is because she was socialized have that opinion. If it doesn’t come from a place of intellect, it comes from a place of socialization.

A menstruating girl/woman spends 3 months a year on average being on her period. That doesn’t include if she also experiences ovulation cramps or other symptoms (if she does, that could make it up to 6 months a year). EVERY YEAR she has her period, so about 35 years. A YEAR. Dealing with cramps, sore breast, headaches/migraines, fatigue, bleeding throughs, etc. A YEAR. And don’t get me started on being pregnant, giving birth, or going through menopause.

But society claims women are the weaker se#. GMAFB. The term “man cold” sums it up right there.
