Probably water damage. |
| That price look too cheap. Some of the houses on that street get floods in heavy rain due to the steep slope. |
Probably a teardown. There are multiple $2M+ new builds on that street now. |
Being sold as is, listing mentions renovate or tear down. Since the lot is .34 acre its likely to be torn down and a larger home built. |
It's a very nice street, and even has a sidewalk for those who are obsessed with them. |
Beats getting run over. |
It's not a cut-through street in any event, like some in the area, so wouldn't really matter much anyway. |
Under contract now. |
Saw that. We inquired about it and there’s currently a tenant in there and weren’t doing any tours etc. looks nice on the outside and a great neighborhood. |
It hasn’t been underpriced. It’s basically driving only into dc which with traffic….terrible. But now that people don’t have to go in as much it’s more appealing. |
DP, and I'm not sure what you're saying but a lot of people have decided places like McLean are great choices for hedging your bets in the current environment. Not far from DC and Tysons if people eventually return to working in offices full-time, but also far enough from DC to get houses with more than postage-stamp lots. |
PP. I agree with you. My point was not “underpriced for years” pre-covid because of the distance but a good buy now. |
This place is under 1M now. Super ugly but if you’re on a budget…. |
I don't know why the prior contract fell through, so maybe there's an issue that the realtor doesn't highlight, but it looks like a cute house. Not everyone can afford or wants to live in some giant new build. |
