Hamptons market as hot as brokers claim and sellers desire?

Anonymous
DH and I considering buying as who knows what will be situation with schools in fall. Even if they return to school part-time, we may still be able to spend long weekends outside city. One property has piqued our interest and seller asking for $1 mill over Zillow estimate. While Zillow doesn't run the market, the gap seems fairly large. Broker telling us Hamptons is hot, hot, hot right now. We will be there for a month in August and will look at houses with an eye to buy. Appreciate any insights about market, etc.

It's crazy hot at the moment, both for renting and buying. I think it'll stay like this for a while. Good luck.

Did you look at the Zillow range in small print under the estimate? My house is
More in the range than the estimate. I would imagine there are plenty of people trying to find an escape from Manhattan after a three month lock down, so I imagine Hamptons are hot.

There was just the maskless party of over a 100 where we know at least Kimberly guilfoyle tested positive. There might be a spike of cases.

And the CNN Cuomo also had it. He’s in the Hamptons too?
