I'm from the Midwest and I have never met people like them. Most guys in the Midwest would take major sh!t for speaking like Cole does. He would be the subject of much razzing and even more "p-whipped" jokes in many circles.

Everyone is blaming Kail but there is somethibg very very creepy about Javi to me. I felt it even before all of their problems started. Something bothers me about his relationship with Isaac. She is lucky MTV and cameras are around while she is divorcing. If he came into the house like that with MTV around I can only imagine what he would do if therey were not on tv. I think she had her reasons for divorcing him and he is a bad guy.

I can't recall - did Kail marry Javi bc she was pregnant with Lincoln? Or did they decide to get married first and then Lincoln came along? Was she just hunting for a step dad for Isaac? They just don't seem like people who were compatible right from the start, so I am wondering what brought them together. He seems VERY traditional. He seems like a simple guy - wants to work hard; provide for 3+ kids; and have a very family centric life with his wife home with him all time, extended family coming over etc. She is the exact opposite - partying; tattoos; ditch the kids and go on vacation; lots of guy friends -- while he was sitting there saying - it's uncultural to him, his mother never had a male friend and would certainly not have any guy over unless his father was also there. What on earth was she thinking they had in common?? And now that that's fallen apart on him -- I can see him in a fit of jealousy - including sneaking into her house; he would have beaten another guy if he had been there.

Gotta disagree with you there. Despite what everyone on DCUM things - not everyone is college material. Just bc Leah as money doesn't mean she needs to be wasting 10-20k/yr (which is what I imagine WVU instate would cost) for some random communications degree just so she can say she got a 4 yr degree. She isn't the brightest light in the harbor, and I'd venture to guess her HS grades were pretty poor and she'd have to do a fair amount of remedial work to even be able to grasp intro college classes. For some people, trade school is better. While guys have the options of going off to trade school to be welders or plumbers or contractors, the most female centric trade is beauty/hair. If someone is into it, they can make more money working at a salon - and who knows one day even owning/co owning a salon, than they can with a 4 yr liberal arts degree which will land them a 28k office job.

The upper Midwestern is still a very traditional area - men who work hard to provide and are supposed to be the strong, silent unemotional types. The wives are traditionally the nurturing ones. So yeah for Cole to be a highway engineer squealing in delight at his boy's weiner or running around gleefully taking care of a baby doll -- decidedly not a South Dakota thing. Frankly he'd get a fair amount of razzing from men in that area about even talking about changing a baby's diaper -- sure they do it in the 2000s bc the wives expect some household contribution, but all of that is still the woman's job.

They got married first and then got pregnant after he finished BMT. I agree that they were complete opposites. I can't understand why he married her after her physically abusing him several times.

She walked down the aisle pregnant. Also, the house is also Javis. He had every right to be there although he gave all the keys back to her. He wanted to catch her with red hands (another guy living there), but didn't at the time. Would have been great proof for the divorce

Javi always struck me as a guy who really really wanted a family. That's why he got with Kail - she could give him kids asap and was bringing a stepson into the marriage who he was happy to treat as his own. Even now - his marriage may not even be technically over yet but when he went to the beach with his brothers/cousins, he was crying about how awful it is to come home to an empty house and how he has to start all over again now [on the wife and family dream]. He reminds me of Cory a lot actually - same type of simple guy who wants a wife and to have kids and to raise them. I think he'll be a lot like Cory and marry quick once this is over and provide a good home for Lincoln; if Kail continues down the path she's on, I wouldn't be surprised if in a few yrs Lincoln is living with him most of the time, he's dealing with school/homework etc. and then Kail just seems him on the weekends or whenever she has time between boyfriends and vacations.

They got.courthouse married first, then she got pregnant and did the aquarium wedding.

+1 I felt as if she almost pushed him into joining up just so she could have benefits. Then she was ticked off when he went away for training and was ultimately deployed. What did she expect?! She irritates me to no end.
