Is NoVa opening May 29- is that date likely happening

Thoughts? I feel like all states are opening up and we are still locked down. Do you think we will start phase 1 May 29 or will that be pushed back?

Today’s numbers are not going to help that.

I think it'll reopen. Too much momentum not to

It's more than just today's numbers. Also, where are those numbers coming from? Assisted living facilities?

Hopefully NoVa will open and we can get on with life.

And what numbers are those?

Given that DC is talking about reopening on the 29th, I dont see how NOVA wouldnt. Can't really be an island here.

What do other states have to do with our state? I don’t get this line of thinking.

This. Unless they are preventing people from crossing bridges, as soon as DC and MoCo are opened Arlington/Fairfax might as well be.

MoCo said they might open next week and said they’re coordinating with NoVA and the District.

But phase 1 means nothing if essentially everything is still closed. No summer camps, no kids programming/events, no libraries, movie theaters, pools or splash pads, playgrounds ..... but wow adults can go out to patio brunches again.

They shouldn’t, if they are sticking to the plan they set, but they will, because everyone has given up.

Agree. I think all the local leaders are set on the same date.

Phase 1 is when you can start having playdates and socializing with non-household members. And it gets us closer to phase 2.
