Sleep away camps

A friend told me some sleepaway camps in the northeast are happening...can anyone recommend one?

No, ours is canceled as are all the camps I know of.

Most camps are waiting for the CDC and American Camp Assn to issue their recommendations this week before deciding. Summer camp will look much different this year no matter what.

Let’s start with you tell us which ones your friend told you are happening.

Ours in Maine cancelled. They cited the fact that even if Maine gets to phase 2 of the CDC’s hospital/medical data, they couldn’t guarantee they’d be able to maintain the requirements like groups less than 50.

If every sleep away opened up tomorrow I wouldn't send DS without a vaccine. We've already talked about the summer and both agree that staying home/not traveling/not getting on planes/not going to sleep away camp is the best course of action. He's 12 and not only understands this concept but agrees.
