Nor the millions of Russian men of fighting age making themselves comfortable in Moscow while they send non-Russian slaves to invade Ukraine. |
That's how the Roman Empire fell - their army got to the point where it was all Gauls and other colonized people and none of the Romans wanted to fight anymore. |
| Is it over? |
| Seems like another Korea, another tie. The Russians got land but Ukraine gets an end to the aggression and long term protection. Both sides lost many lives. |
Only this time it is the Russians dying by the 100’s of thousands while bleeding the economy white vs the Chinese. |
They're going to die by the 100's of thousands all the way to Kiev. Neo-cons are going to be claiming victory while Zelensky makes his last stand in a bunker. Then they'll pretend they never said any of this nonsense while they urge the Poles or Balts to go kill Russians by the thousands... |

There's some nice farmland in the western part of the Ukraine but that's about it. Russia appears to have conquered the most valuable resource-rich, industrialized territory in the Ukraine's eastern region.
If this continues much longer, Russia will probably reach Odessa and what will be left of the Ukraine will be an impoverished, landlocked rump state; at that point they'd be better off allowing themselves to be incorporated into Poland, Hungry, etc. Sad to see so much death and destruction but there was no other way this was going to end. The Germans learned in WW2 that you can't go up against the Russian behemoth and expect to win a war of attrition. Hopefully, the stark reality of what they're facing will bring the Ukrainians to the negotiating table to cut their losses and find a way to live in peace with their neighbor to the east. |
You really have no clue about what is happening. MAGA is a clown show.
|
Are the neo-clowns now claiming to have some sort of secret knowledge? How very gnostic of you... I'll ask a pretty simple question of you: What do you believe are the Ukrainian casualty numbers and what do you believe to be the Russian ones? |
| Looks like all we need is a few signatures on the dotted line and the inevitable Ukrainian victory is signed, sealed, and delivered! |
It's a shitty deal for Ukraine. The bully came and took lunch money and is expecting to be allowed to keep it in exchange for maybe pretending it won't try to beating Ukraine up again, and oh by the way Ukraine isn't allowed to hang out with its friends who want to keep the bully from beating people up. WTF kind of deal is that? |
| I'd wager a fiver that the "deal" isn't happening. |

If you really look at the details, the US is imposing the complete capitulation of Ukraine - and insisting on hundreds of billions in mining deals and so on for imposing this defeat on Ukraine.
Neville Chamberlain got a better deal from Hitler. It's manifestly evident that the United States is now effectively a Russian proxy country. Europe is clearly regretting their ties to the US. But unfortunately it takes years to ramp up their own defense industries to scale. Europe were parasites for 50 years and now they are dealing with the consequences. You can't wish away that dependency overnight. So Ukraine and Europe are in a bad place because of the Russian control of the White House. No doubt that will change in the years ahead. The consequences of American treachery will echo for decades. |
This. Ukraine may well break with the United States and no one will blame them. |
The Germans learned they couldn't win an invasion of the USSR. But, Ukraine hasn't invaded Russia, rather the reverse. As long as the US doesn't cut Ukraine aid off, Ukraine can win because Ukraine isn't fighting a war of attrition. It is innovating and building their military and military industry to defeat Russia. Europe is and will support the Ukrainian war because half of Europe has already experienced what it is to fight Russia and be ruled by Russia. And the other half of Europe realizes that Russia is already in a grey war with Europe through acts of sabotage, and penetration testing defenses. If Russia doesn't lose the war against Ukraine, Europe knows that Putin will invade again - probably the Baltics - in less than 10 years. |
