Lidia Bastianich restaurants -- anyone been?

Anonymous
Has anyone been to a Lidia Bastianich restaurant? I love her cooking shows. I really hope her restaurants survive the shut down. My goal if they are open when this is over is to eat at at least the ones in NY, and maybe make a road trip out of it, going to Kansas City and Chicago.

Anyone been to one of her restaurants? Which ones? And are they worth fantasizing about?

Del Posto is good, or was ten years ago. I wouldn’t make a road trip to Kansas City and Chicago for just her restaurants though.

What are they like? Are they like Hamburger Hamlet/Cheesecake Factory/Clyde's type restaurants, or what?

I went to Becco many years ago. Too long ago to remember details, but as best I recall it was a lovely experience.

LOL I was wondering why they weren't worth a trip for.

I went to Becco in NYC. It was OK. Carmine’s is much better.

Disagree. Really enjoyed Becco. But haven’t been in years.

Italian restaurants for those of you who are unaware. I have been to her restaurant in Pittsbrgh. Yum.

I went to Becco last year. It was fine, but not outstanding or memorable in any way.

I've been avoiding her products bc of her association with Mario Batalli

I loved Becco when I was in NY. The I never find it worth it to get pasta in a restaurant but it was really outstanding there.
