If you're Christian, are you going to church for Easter?

Frankly, this holiday terrifies me, given COVID. I think people going to church is going to just destroy our ability to fight this virus for a long time.

Us Jews will stay home for Passover (all the synagogues I know of have gone to totally virtual services anyway) but I've heard nothing from the Pope. It's inexcusable that he hasn't come out and urged Catholics to stay home and access virtual masses.

I believe the Pope already told people to stay home. As far as Popes go, he's by far the least crazy we've had...

Did he say that specifically about Easter?

Absolutely not. Our church (Catholic) will be locked so no none can come in, but the priest will do a mass and live stream it. Catholics believe in science.

+1. Your post is pretty ignorant, OP.

Looking to start a fight, I see.

Umm, not really. Churches have been packed around the country. Catholics are far from the only ones who celebrate Easter.

No. More just terrified, given the packed churches we've all been seeing.

I’m not Catholic, but it was easy enough to google this.

Ours is intentionally UNlocked so people can come in to pray at any time, on their own, while keeping a safe distance from others. No services held, except online.

The Catholic Church closed all it’s churches and has forbidden any public masses. What more could they do?

Ok, but even beyond that, many state governments in the US haven't mandated that churches close, and Trump basically said today that he thinks mass can be done in person.

Ours is unlocked during other times, but they specifically said it would be locked during mass.

Still stupid. It should be locked all the time.
