Yea, regardless of your take on the Reddit thread it’s clear that this thread is now crawling with PR strategies.

First was the photo bombing method which clearly failed and is now gone. Now this stage is the “hate on redditers” strategy.

I am not Reddit poster and actually am a pp who said that the Reddit thread has lost credit. But even so, I don’t think anyone would come onto DCUM and hate on the Reddit thread except for someone who has something to gain. The only person in the world with anything to gain would be hilaria.

On the contrary- I am not a reddit follower but obviously her PR people have posted on this forum in defense of Hillary. Regardless of whether or not she faked pregnancies, underwent tattooing while breastfeeding, blah blah, there are those of us who are immigrants who are totally offended by her continuing use of brown face. Hi, she was dishonest for 10 yrs publicly about Spanish birth and Spanish heritage and Spanish as a first language.

Was caught.

Generally, truth and reconciliación consists of: 1) confession of misdeeds, fully 2) forgiveness of the wrongs and wrongdoer and 3) repair, that is restitution/giving back the ill-gotten gains.

Then we all move on. No punishment is sought. We move on. And the offender is not ostracized, rather in fact is welcomed back, fully.

Does anyone think we get to 1, much less 1,2,3? My thinking is that if we do ever get to 1 it will only be 2-8 yrs from now

You sound like you are in The Crucible. We don't live in a society where people are required to publicly "confess misdeeds" of this sort or where anybody is obliged to seek the "forgiveness of wrongs" by the general public. I don't think it is racist, I think it is sad. She obviously admires Spanish culture and feels deeply insecure about herself, so she lies. But everybody in the world now knows she is lying, so at this point I don't even think it is a lie anymore. It's a sad, desperate act. If it makes her feel better to keep up the accent that everyone knows is fake, just let her.
