Washington Waldorf School

We are looking at Waldorf for elementary and middle school. Does anyone have any experience or anecdotes from friends about how these students perform in a mainstream high school setting and more broadly?

We recognize the common stigmas associated with Waldorf. Acknowledge the gnome mania. Also fully recognize there is an association with the anti-vax crazies. Also recognize that some people think it’s a cult. We can troll Waldorf with the best of them, so no need for that.

We’re just interested if anyone has any direct or indirect experience with this school and student outcomes. Thank you!

In terms of outcomes of graduating high school students, you can see some of their college acceptances for the Class of 2024 here.

I do suspect quite a few students leave WWS after middle school for a more traditional high school experience and the graduating class is usually only 12-15 students.

We went to another Waldorf school for early elementary grades and my child transitioned fine (though still in elementary school).
