This is not a thread for arguing pro / con Coronavirus plans as there are about a thousand others on the site where you can do that.
I’m just wondering if anyone has heard anything about this weekend’s tournament and whether it might get cancelled? I’m seeing in the FB soccer parents group that many tournaments and showcases are being cancelled so wondering if that might happen (I ask because we are double booked this weekend for soccer and basketball and if one is getting cancelled we will play the other most likely). |
| Our championship swim meet has been cancelled. |
I have heard nothing about it. Hard to see how one would be cancelled but the other would not. They likely stand or fall together. |
|
They still haven’t cancelled the Spain tournament over spring break! Wtf?!?!
|
| My kids private school is closed effective tomorrow |
OP here. Yea, I think that too. Basketball is in Richmond so might not be as impacted by DC-area positive cases. |
| We'll see you in the Bronze bracket. Don't lick my kid. |
| Dumb if they start cancelling these |
| Soccer is outdoors. Folks are not sitting next to each other in closed quarters. |
The Barca World Cup was cancelled. Not sure about Mondalito but I assume so. |
| Give me a break. Unless your kid is using his shoes to wipe his face you should be fine. It's a flu, idiots like you took to long to wash your hands. |
Sure Italy has Quarantine 15 million people. New York has quarantined a town with the national guard. The Champions league is playing in empty stadiums? It’s just the flu! The media is just hyping this up. |
Universities around the country are going to online classes only. Those Harvard administrators are so dumb.
|
I've met a few, yes they can be dumb. |
Yeah, you won't find the current generation of Harvard students or administrators at the front lines of anything these days except exits, with their snowplough parents leading the charge. But it does not make this a bad decision here. What people will realize is how unimportant it is to attend class at universities to learn effectively. |
