My kids are 5 and 9 and still love taking baths (sometimes together).
They have outgrown all the baby bath toys. Are there any fun novel toys that won’t mold for older kids? Thanks! |
Drawing with bathtub crayons
But honestly, just toss them a couple of washcloths and a couple of tupperware - they can be creative. |

A lot of the playmobil boats and sea animals are fine for water (stickers are plastic, not paper). We have a boat and whales, octopuses, etc. |
Mermaid barbies, action figures, etc. My 5 year old is into those little 3 inch character figures, so we have a lot of those that go in the bath. |
Any plastic toy that doesn't get water stuck inside will do.
Bath cups never get old. For a treat we put a bunch of shaving cream in different cups and they play with that. Get the $1 Target shaving cream because they will use as much as possible haha. |
Mr. Bubble makes a "bath foam" that is sort of like shaving cream. It comes in pastel colors, and you can mold it and it washes off easily and dissolves in the water. That's a big hit, and you can get a two-pack of cans at Target or Walmart for less than 5 dollars. |
Small pool toys, like dolls, cups, diving wands. |
empty shampoo bottles. Plastic straws. Plastic cups. |
Matchbox cars |
Duplos. The little legos would go down the drain, duplos would not |
Our mermaid barbies live in the bathtub. Cups and bowls and spoons and droppers for making concoctions with colored soap and bubble bath and baking soda. |
Light up “realistic” goldfish is the one that has been appreciated the longest. |
The plastic figures by Safari LTD. You can buy small ones in a tube (spelled toob I think) or larger ones. We have several awesome prehistoric sea creatures and mammals that my 10 year old will still get out on the rare occasion he has a bath instead of a shower. They don't have joints or holes so no water gets inside. |
what is a kid gonna do with a diving wand in a bathtub? OP my kid is 7 and plays with naked barbies in the bath. It is literally the only time she plays with barbies or dolls. |
