Silver Spring Day School is a great school right at 4 Corners.

I agree! Love SSDS! Very community-oriented and the teachers are fantastic. It also has a great social-emotional program; so it’s not just daycare. We have found that our oldest was well-prepared for kindergarten. Welcome to Silver Spring!

What age is your child(ren)?

We've had one or both of our two kids at Karasik for the past seven years, and on the whole it has been a fantastic experience. It's a nice community with a great set of teachers, and the inclusive model is one we're glad to support.

I pay $1500 for a toddler, infants will be a bit more but cheaper than many commercial centers. It is difficult to get an infant spot at Karasik though.

DP what makes Karasik "inclusive" - what do they offer for children with disabilities?

They allow my child’s ABA therapist and other services to go into the classroom for as many hours as needed. The lead teachers are all very experienced and my kid is much happier there than at her previous daycare, where there would be daily meltdowns and complaints. Karasik also has a nurse on staff and can handle kids with medical needs.

FYI Karasik is now 1900 for infants and will go up 3% this summer.
