Which labor was quicker?

I'm pregnant with #2 and would like to know how was your 2nd pregnancy in term of going into labor? my first was induced (gestational diabetes at 40weeks) but didn't have any contraction or anything maybe dilated only for 2 or 3 cm the last 2 weeks. Based on that I'm not sure if the 2nd will be quicker? naturally coming instead of induction?

Watching this. My first was 9 hours from water breaking to baby out and seriously worried about a precipitous labor this time.

1st kid- induced for medical reasons exactly at 37 weeks. from the time I started pitcoin to delivering, it was about 12 hours. But I had complications and had to stop the pitocin a few times. I only pushed for about 30 mins

2nd kid- Started going into labor at 38 w after a sweep. Took roughly 8 hours of labor, and then almost 2 hours of pushing (she was sunny side up)

So I have no clue how this third kid will be!

I was induced at 42 weeks with the first, with basically no dilation or contractions before I went in. I went into labor with second one at 40 wks 5 days, water broke before contractions started, I arrived at the hospital at 3 cm. I think at my last appt prior to going into labor, I was also at basically no dilation.

Each pregnancy was four days longer than the one before it. But each labor was quicker - 18 hours, 7 hours, 90 minutes.

My first was slow and easy - 12 hours of bearable labor, got to the hospital and was 9-10 cm dilated so after a few hours MW broke my water and he was born 30 min later. I was 41+3.

2nd was terrifying precipitous labor. I was 40+2 and MW swept my membranes that morning. Started cramping (didn't think much of it since 2 membrane sweeps didn't work with DS1) and went to bed that night. Got up to pee, water broke on the toilet and contractions came fast and strong. Told DH we had to go NOW and I was crowning when we got to the hospital. Barely made it into the delivery bed. Good thing it was midnight and there was no traffic because he surely would have been born on the side of 95!

Second. First was about 20 hours with 3 hours of pushing. Baby was malpositioned though. Second was induced and 6 hours. 3 pushes. So easy.

My first was born 23.5 hours after my water spontaneously broke.

My second was induced. The total thing from start to finish was 16.5 hours but 13.5 hours of that was spent getting me from 0cm to 2 cm dilated, once I got to 2 cm she was born just 3 hours later.

First kid: active labor about 24 hours, with several days of intermittent contractions before that
Second kid: 90 minutes from first contraction to holding baby in my arms

Baby 1: Admitted in very early labor at 8pm due to suspected amniotic leak. Epidural at 2am. Complete at 3pm. Pushed for 4 hours (baby was large with a big head!). Baby in arms by 8:30pm.

Baby 2: Water broke at 2am after days of irregular contractions. Admitted in early labor for induction (Foley bulb + Pitocin) around 5am. Labored with nitrous until 5pm and got an epidural. Complete at 7:30pm. Pushed a handful of times and baby was in arms by 8:15pm. Much easier than my first delivery despite baby being posterior. Easy recovery.

I was GBS + for both of my pregnancies, which is why I was admitted so early in my labors.

First - induction at 41 weeks. Took 36 hours after we started pitocin. Pushed for 45 minutes and had a 9.5lb baby

Second - spontaneous labor at 38 weeks. Started feeling crampy around 6pm. By 10pm definitely was in labor with contractions. Got to the hospital by 1am. Water broke at 4am and pushed 3 times and baby came at 5:50am.

Third time - we shall see! Only 5 weeks to go thank god!

1st - water broke at 6am, contractions started at 5pm, baby was born the next morning at 10:30 after pushing for five and a half hours

2nd - mild period cramps started at 4am, slept through them until 6, mild contractions continued but were 3 minutes apart and were thinking we were overly cautious leaving for the hospital at 9:30 because it wasn’t that bad, like I could talk through them. things got real in the car, and baby was born 45 minutes after walking in hospital door at 10:30.
