Who makes the best photo gifts? Any other grandparent gift ideas?

Trying to order some last min gifts for the grandparents. I really don’t know what to get both sets of grandparents this year. Coming up blank.

Where is the best place to order some photo gifts?

What did you get the grandparents?

Last year we got them digital photo frames. We haven’t uploaded images for about 11 months and I’m fairly certain they don’t keep the photo frame on.

If you are looking for last minute, Walgreens has some decent options, some of which can be picked up in store, saving on shipment time.

I just ordered gifts on minted.com. Supposed to arrive at my parent's house by 12/24.

One year I ordered postage stamps with granddaughter’s
picture on them. I think through Zazzle. You upload the school photo or whatever, even a kid’s drawing, and they make them into real postage forever stamps.

We make Shutterfly photo books for both sets of grandparents and for ourselves each year. Kind of late to do that (it takes me a long time to sort/organize and upload our photos and arrange them in the book the way I want but they do have an option that you just upload your pics and they create a book for you) and then their standard shipping typically takes at least a week. If I was looking to do something fast, I’d make a wall calendar at Walgreens. You can typically pick up photo gifts from Walgreens same day you submit your order. Quality is decent for the price and convenience.

We did photos on mugs (shutterfly and all those will do it) Tip--it looks better on a black mug.

You can do photo(s) of the kids or grandparents with kids...

Have them make ornaments for the tree?

DD went to one of those pottery places and painted something for gma but it takes a week to get them back.

If anyone has an alternative to Shutterfly would love to know about it. Something more boutique.

I use mpix. I think the quality is better than Shutterfly.

Any suggestions besides photo gifts?

We bought my mom a Google hub. It has pictures that scroll through as the screensaver (or whatever you want to call it). She uses it for a calendar reminder (my dad is sick and has A LOT of appts) so will ask google what she has that day and it will bring up a calendar. She can ask it to set reminders/timers. She stores a shopping list that she can verbally add things to. She plays music with it.

Next time we visit, DH is going to hook it up so she can use it to turn lights on/off and set the alarm.
