They are my pick to win it all this year. They have looked fantastic all season.

Caught the second half of the UVa semifinal. Although Dike scored goals in the first half, he simply looked like a man among boys. I checked the rosters and he had 25 to 30 pounds on every other player.

Interestingly … or not, the rosters for both WFU and UVa appeared to list the high schools for the players originating from the US. The posts here would make you believe that college rosters (especially in D1) are filled with DA players who typically aren't allowed to play HS soccer (prior to Letters of Intent, at least). So, what DAs are represented?

I think the habit of listing the high school is a matter of tradition, and outside of soccer, for most sports it probably still has relevance. I did find looking at the rosters interesting, because of the portion of players from outside the US. Anyways, I spot checked some of the US players out of curiosity and there were indeed Da players on the roster. So they may graduate from a certain high school, but it doesn't mean they actually played for them.

Hope that helps.

Most colleges list the da or club where their players were based in high school. Not just the high school. Most elite private university players go to private/boarding schools so many not be at DAs. Bubble boys from 9-12 all the way through college. And we are all puzzled why USMNT is so weak. The same weaknesses that result from developing in these sheltered environments soon make themselves evident in other contexts, not just soccer. Give me Clint Dempsey any day of the week over these guys. But to be fair, I think their eyes are on other objectives, not soccer.

Some, not all. I've seen others leave that off, but I saw DA players on their rosters that weren't listed on their rosters as DA.

Georgetown plays a more impressive style of play than the USMNT.
