| Has anyone had an ERA after becoming pregnant previously? Ie, years later? |
| I did when I was with SGF but when we switched to CCRM they told us it was all hocus pocus so not sure who to believe. |
Were they saying the whole thing was hocus pocus? I just got an ERA done after one miscarriage and 1 failed transfer. They barely gave me much feedback after we got the results other than "yep, the timing of things looks good". I was pretty discouraged that there wasn't greater insight and if I hadn't done the ERA, we would've done everything timing wise the same anyways. |

Yes, still waiting on results. I was on the fence about it. I didn't want to spend the extra time or take any more drugs
It added many months to the process and drugs -- not as bad as IVF by any measure the decision depends - in part- on how many embryos you have left. I wanted to maximize my chances (and conversely not to worry that I had not done all that I could) For some portion of women, it is important and for the rest of us, it makes no difference. I am not sure what camp that I fall into but my guess would be the latter. |
OP here. This is helpful- we have four more, but have already been through a lot (9) of embryos to get our two live births and three miscarriages, so I think we’re just going to bite the bullet. I know I’m so lucky to have had so many embryos (I was young and had tubal issues after a bad ectopic Pre IVF) but I also don’t want to feel like I’m “wasting” the last four when we would still like one or two more kids. |

not a personal experience, but i know someone who did ERA and had a successful pregnancy, and then when ttc #2, had no luck. they repeated the ERA and the transfer time changed. needed less time of progesterone.
Hope this helps some. |
