ballet camp for 4 y.o.

My daughter is suddenly interested in ballet and I thought a camp program might be a nice introduction. I found a number of programs in the washington parent directory and was curious if anyone had any info on which programs might be better. I live in Upper NW and prefer something around here or in closer-in Montgomery County.

American Dance Institute (Rockville)
Maryland Youth Ballet (Silver Spring)
City Dance (North Bethesda)
Elite Dance Studio (Silver Spring)
Metropolitan Ballet (Rockville)

Elite is fun and laid back, but way too far from you. Not worth the drive. Find something closer in.

My DD attends American Dance Institute for ballet lessons regularly and we think very highly of the classes. Not sure about the summer camp but if they have the same teachers, you can't go wrong. Ballet Petite is definitely nice but is more dress-up than actual ballet ... Not sure where you live in Upper NW, but we live in Chevy Chase MD and drove our daughter to Ballet Petite's summer camp last year and we didn't think it was too far away at all. My daughter LOVED it!

Ballet Petite if she's dead set on ballet, Imagination Stage has great camps but they are mostly all arts inclusive I believe.
