| I'm looking at used models (2016-2018) and haven't yet test driven. I've always been a Honda or Toyota guy, and Kia doesn't seem to get much love on this board, but are there any folks who drive them and happy? |
| I've owned a KIA and a HONDA before. I would never buy another KIA. EVER. |
| Honda Accord. No question at all. |
| I ended up with an Optima as a rental car for a week recently and was really impressed. I suspect that most Honda owners have never driven one. |
| Both nice cars. Cannot really go wrong. |
Yes you can with a Kia |
how you feel when you drive a car is only a small part of what you should be considering when you invest in a vehicle (not that any vehicle is an "investment" in the traditional sense). You don't have to have driven a car to know its safety ratings, reliability, etc. |

I had a Kia for years, bought it new. Never again. The car was fine but I had a problem once and corporate was awful. I bought a new Honda last year and have no complaints with it.
I vote Honda. |
+1 |
Meh. All vehicles have to meet safety standards. How it feels when I drive it - comfort, handling, etc. - is EXACTLY what I consider when buying a car. |
|
I would most definitely go with the Accord.
Kias are just cheap + unreliable. Or you can go Middle line and try a Hyundai. |

I wonder how old these Kia impressions are. I have a 2018 Kia Niro and love it. We looked at Kias a few years prior and were disappointed in the build quality and bought something else. But their newer models get good reviews and I liked it more than everything else we saw.
I remember in the 80s when Toyatas had the reputation of being cheap and crappy. That's obviously changed. I wonder if Kia isn't turning that corner. |
Hyundai and Kia are same company. Hyundai bought out Kia about 10 or so years ago. |
key point here. |
| Honda |
