Has anyone done PGD for an autosomal dominant condition?

We are considering the shared risk program. It looks like you can tack on PGD for an additional fee. Has anyone done this? We are new to the world of IVF and are trying to figure out if it makes sense for us to do PGD (there’s a 50% risk of any pregnancy being affected by the condition). Does anyone have experience with this?

Yes I would do it. How old are you?

Yes I have, I didn't qualify for a shared risk program due to my infertility diagnosis (DOR), but I also had a 50/50 shot of passing on my genetic disorder and used PGD to screen it out so that the next generation wouldn't have those issues. It's a process to create the probe and an extra expense, but worth it to me to prevent suffering.

100% if you are at shady grove I think it is 4 or 5k and that is low considering it covers all of the cycles in the shared risk. I would especially do it if you are 39. You do not have time to transfer abnormal embryos.
